Ray Rehman (Zachary Levi) is a half-white, half-Pakistani male in his mid-twenties living in LA, struggling to navigate his mixed identity and cultural heritage. He proposes to his Caucasian girlfriend, Noelle, but her hesitation prompts him to reconnect with his Pakistani father, Javaid Rehman (Brian George), who comes to live with him, forcing Ray to re-examine his relationships and sense of belonging. As Ray spends more time with Sana Khaliq (Sarah Shahi), a South Asian girl with mixed heritage like him, he must decide where his identity truly lies and whether to prioritize cultural expectations or follow his own heart.
