Just Friends

Just Friends is a 2018 Dutch romantic comedy film about Joris (Josha Stradowski), a 21-year-old man trying to come to terms with his father's death, who forms an instant connection with Yad (Majd Mardo), a free-spirited Syrian refugee. Despite their different backgrounds and family issues, they spark a romance that grows stronger through music and sports, mainly surfing. Their feelings are threatened by their mothers' pressure, but ultimately, love controls them, allowing Joris to reconcile with his past and Yad to find courage in embracing his true self.
