Red Island

Set in early 1970s Madagascar, "Red Island" follows Thomas (Charlie Vauselle), a young boy who observes his family and fellow French military officers coming to terms with changes in their lives as their deployment on the island comes to an end. The film explores themes of colonialism, identity, and relationships through the eyes of this child protagonist.
