The Hippopotamus

Disgraced poet Ted Wallace is summoned to his friend's country manor to investigate a series of unexplained miracles that have cured his goddaughter from leukemia and his friend's son from a severe asthma attack. As he delves deeper into the mystery, Ted becomes embroiled in the lives of the manor's eccentric residents, including a young boy who claims to possess miraculous healing powers through his semen and touch. A cynical investigation leads to a series of revelations about the true nature of these "miracles" and the power of human connection, but also exposes the darker aspects of their desires and motivations.
