The Go-Getter

In "The Go-Getter," 19-year-old Mercer (Lou Taylor Pucci) steals a Volvo station wagon to embark on a road trip to find his estranged half-brother Arlen, who is unaware that their mother has recently died. Along the way, he communicates with the car's owner, Kate (Zooey Deschanel), via her cell phone while traveling through Oregon, Nevada, California, and Mexico. Mercer discovers a profound connection with both the car-owner and himself as he navigates his journey.
