Chaos Theory

Chaos Theory is a 2008 American comedy drama film starring Ryan Reynolds as Frank Allen, a professional speaker who lectures on time management. After his wife sets his clock forward 10 minutes as a joke, his day is thrown off when he discovers that his future son-in-law, Ed (Mike Erwin), is having doubts about their upcoming wedding due to Frank's alleged infidelity. As the story unfolds in a non-linear fashion, told in flashback, Frank begins to reevaluate his perfectly ordered life and decides to take a chance on spontaneity, choosing one of three index cards with written options at random.
