Wakefield

Howard Wakefield, a hardworking man in his marriage of fifteen years, has a nervous breakdown and leaves his wife and daughters to live in their attic for several months. After initially feeling carefree and unshackled from his responsibilities, he becomes disillusioned with his new life and reflects on his past relationship with his wife, Diana, whom he had manipulated and deceived to be with him. He eventually returns home, announcing "I'm home," but the outcome is uncertain, leaving the audience wondering how his family will react to his reappearance.
