In this biting comedy, Radio correspondent Karel Beran finds himself caught in a web of deception when an anonymous tip from the Middle East prompts him to return to Prague, only to have a revolution erupt in Kambur just as he's settling back into his routine. With the sounds of chaos coming from outside his apartment, Beran resorts to creative (and hilarious) measures to fake his way through live broadcasts, but when Czech Radio decides to send a support team to verify his reports, he's forced to choose between confessing to his ruse or staging his own dramatic exit. The result is a clever satire of journalism and the lengths people will go to get their story right – even if it means making a mess in the kitchen.
