Gardens of the Night

Gardens of the Night is a 2008 American drama film that tells the story of Leslie Whitehead, a teenage girl who was abducted as a child and suffered years of abuse. She finds herself living on the streets with another victim, Donnie, and must cope with her traumatic past through an imaginary world inspired by The Jungle Book. As she navigates her new reality, Leslie is convinced by a pimp to lure a young girl into prostitution, but ultimately decides not to go through with it and instead tries to find her way back to her true self. After reuniting with her parents, who have been searching for her for years, Leslie struggles to adjust to life at home due to the trauma she experienced as a child.
