White Mischief

A 1987 British period crime drama film directed and co-written by Michael Radford, "White Mischief" dramatises the events of the Happy Valley murder case in Kenya in 1941, where millionaire Sir Henry Delves Broughton is tried for the murder of Josslyn Hay, 22nd Earl of Erroll. After a torrid affair with one of his friends leads to a scandalous murder, the husband and wife decide to break up peacefully, but their lover is found dead, with all evidence pointing to the husband. The film stars Greta Scacchi, Charles Dance, Joss Ackland, Sarah Miles, and John Hurt in a story about the decadent lives of British expatriates in colonial Kenya during World War II.
