Aproape de soare is a 1961 Romanian drama film directed by Savel Știopul. Petre Orsa (Florin Piersic), a young peasant, gets a job at the Hunedoara Steel Mill with the dream of becoming a top-notch steel man, inspired by industrial hero Mihai Solca (Doron Dron). He soon joins the team of foreman Tudor Baci (Titus Lapteș), who mentors him as he rises through the ranks.
