The film follows Eunice Paiva (Fernanda Torres and Fernanda Montenegro), a mother and activist, as she copes with the forced disappearance of her husband Rubens Paiva (Selton Mello), a dissident politician during Brazil's 1971 military dictatorship. As Eunice searches for answers about her husband's fate, she is subjected to torture and interrogation, but ultimately finds the strength to rebuild her life and advocate for justice and accountability.
