In 1999, Paul and his partner Julie experience beautiful moments with their young daughter, while struggling to cope with the impending illness of Roland, Paul's father-in-law. As Roland's condition worsens, he is forced to confront his mortality, leading to a heart-wrenching confrontation with his loved ones, including Paul.
