The Tanase Affair

In 1982, the newly elected President of France, François Mitterrand, clashes with the Romanian dictator Nicolae Ceaucescu in a spy story worth a detective novel, involving the French DST and the Romanian Securitate secret services, where agent Matei Haiducu, alias Matthieu Forestier (played by Adrian Sîngețeanu), reports Ceaucescu's plan to assassinate two Romanian dissidents living in Paris, writers Virgil Tanase and Paul Goma.
