Blues for Willadean

The 2012 American drama film "Blues for Willadean" tells the story of post-middle age Willadean Winkler, played by Beth Grant, who feels life has passed her by under the thumb of her abusive husband J.D. Winkler (David Steen), until she makes some unlikely friends, including LaSonia Robinson (Octavia Spencer) and Rayleen Hobbs (Dale Dickey), who encourage her with music and support.
