When free-spirited Rickey (Michael Angarano) suddenly reappears in father-to-be Glenn's (Michael Cera) life, they embark on a spontaneous road trip from Los Angeles to Sacramento with Tallie (Maya Erskine). Along the way, Rosie (Kristen Stewart), Dr. Murray (Rosalind Chao), and others join them as they navigate the ups and downs of their journey. As Glenn and Rickey reconnect as former best friends, they must confront the realities of adulthood and the complexities of their evolving relationship.
