In 1945, on the treacherous terrain of Okinawa's Hacksaw Ridge, a humble medic's courage defied expectations and shattered stereotypes. Pfc. Desmond T. Doss, a conscientious objector from a Seventh-day Adventist faith, risked his life to rescue 75 wounded soldiers from certain death, saving their lives in the process. As one of the most heroic acts of World War II, Doss's selfless service earned him the nation's highest honor: the Medal of Honor.
