On Christmas Eve in a sleepy cul-de-sac, a paperboy's innocent act sets off a chain of violence and terror as an unknown assailant strikes down an Indian couple, Mr Sharma. As Beth, a single mother, tries to navigate the chaos with her reluctant 14-year-old daughter Jodie, they become trapped in a desperate battle for survival, surrounded by a military cordon and stalked by a monstrous, mutant creature unleashed by a sinister experiment gone wrong.
