The Fast and the Furious

A 1954 American crime drama film starring John Ireland and Dorothy Malone, co-directed by Ireland and Edward Sampson, about a truck driver framed for murder who breaks out of jail, kidnaps a young woman, and enters into a cross-border sports car race under a pseudonym with plans to escape into Mexico. As they navigate the racing circuit, they develop feelings for each other and become embroiled in a romantic hostage situation. The film was shot on location around Malibu and Point Dume, California, and features a young "lady racer" driving a Jaguar XK120 sports car.
