Mickey 17

In 2050, Mickey Barnes and his friend Timo join a spaceship crew to colonize the ice planet Niflheim, with Mickey joining as an "Expendable", a controversial job involving extremely dangerous tasks. Four years later, the spaceship arrives at Niflheim, where Mickey is sent to capture one of the native lifeforms dubbed "Creepers". After experimenting on and sacrificing multiple iterations of Mickey, the ship's scientists develop a vaccine for the planet's viral pathogens. The seventeenth Mickey is sent to capture Zoco, but falls into a fissure, only to be carried to the surface by the Creepers. Upon his return, an aggressive Mickey 18 has been printed, and the two clones must navigate their complicated relationship amidst betrayal, colonialism, and the sinister leader Kenneth Marshall's true intentions.
