Maudie

Maudie is a 2016 biographical drama film about Canadian folk artist Maud Lewis, who struggles with rheumatoid arthritis and the memory of a lost child before moving in with Everett Lewis, a surly fish peddler, as a housekeeper. Sally Hawkins plays Maud Lewis, opposite Ethan Hawke as Everett Lewis. The film premiered at the Telluride Film Festival in 2016 and received positive reviews, winning several awards, including Canadian Screen Awards for Best Motion Picture and Best Director for Aisling Walsh.
