The Poughkeepsie Tapes

The Poughkeepsie Tapes is a 2007 American pseudo-documentary horror film presented as a documentary, featuring interviews with police and FBI officials, who discover hundreds of videotapes showing torture, murder, and dismemberment in an abandoned house. The tapes reveal the decade-long reign of terror of serial killer Edward Carver, whose meticulous crimes have become the most disturbing collection of evidence homicide detectives have ever seen. As detectives investigate the murders, they uncover a web of deceit and manipulation that leads them to suspect a number of individuals, including officer James Foley, who is ultimately convicted and executed for the crimes, only to be posthumously exonerated. The film ends with an ominous post-credits scene showing the brutalized woman being filmed by Carver, who asserts that she will live as long as she does not blink.
