Based on a true story, Philip Markoff's seemingly flawless life as a charismatic and popular medical student at Boston University conceals a twisted world of gambling, crime, battery, and eventually murder, all while meeting his victims via Craigslist. The film follows the dark and mysterious life of this murderer, whose double life is contrasted with his promising future and relationships. Despite its intriguing premise, the movie focuses more on romantic drama than psychological tension, leaving its thriller potential underexplored, and weak character development hinders the impact of its core message.
