Whisky Galore

In this 2016 British film, the residents of the isolated Scottish island of Todday, led by Macroon (Gregor Fisher), concoct a plan to hide away cases of precious whisky when a cargo ship runs aground on their shores. As they outsmart the bumbling English Home Guard commander Captain Waggett (Eddie Izzard) and his cohorts, romance blossoms between Catriona Macroon (Ellie Kendrick) and George Campbell (Sean Biggerstaff), who ultimately musters the courage to defy his mother's disapproval and marry her.
