Evening Rain

"Evening Rain" is a 1981 Chinese drama film that follows poet Qiu Shi (Li Zhiyu), who has been in prison for six years and is secretly transferred to freedom by boat under the guard of officers Li Yan (Ming Qiang) and Liu Wenying (Zhang Yu). Alongside a diverse group of passengers, including a young girl and a frail elderly woman, Qiu Shi finds hope and inspiration to encourage those around him.
