Gemmel & Tim

This documentary explores the lives and untimely deaths of two gay black men, Gemmel "Juelz" Moore and Timothy "Tim" Dean, who died from a meth overdose in 2017 and 2019, respectively. Their stories are shared by friends who knew them, highlighting the struggles faced by the LGBTQ+ community, particularly those from marginalized backgrounds. Michael Franklin, DeMarco Majors, and Jeffrey Drew share their memories of Gemmel and Tim, hoping to prevent similar tragedies from occurring.
