True Brandywine (Wyatt Russell) emerges from a desolate meadow, dislodged boot and foot symptoms exposed to snow. In flashbacks, True Brandywine rides a bucking bronco in a rodeo, purchases painkillers, and dreams of an earlier competition. True struggles with traumatic brain injury, his fading rodeo career, and the loss of his brother Caleb, reflecting on how it's difficult to achieve his dreams as he battles against the blizzard.
