First Born

Laura is an artistic dancer married to a wealthy businessman in New York City who suspects she is pregnant after getting ill following a dance performance. She takes the subway home and sees a young woman sitting across from her holding a baby, but it's just a doll wrapped in a blanket. After having Laura's child via emergency C-section, she becomes haunted by the cry of a baby continuously and struggles with postpartum depression. Her husband Steven hires an au pair named Mrs. Kasperian to help care for their baby, but things take a turn when Laura starts experiencing hallucinations and paranoia, leading her to believe that something sinister is at play in their home.
