How to Make an American Quilt

Winona Ryder plays Finn Dodd, a graduate student who visits her great-aunt and grandmother to finish her thesis and think over her engagement. There, she discovers that the current quilt being worked on is a wedding gift for her when she gets married, with the theme "where love resides." The women's stories in the quilting group open Finn's eyes to different kinds of love, and she learns valuable advice from them.
