Prof Tom Foolery Saves the Planet!

Prof Thomas Foolery is desperate for fame and enters a competition to build a steam-powered tree cutting machine in 1876. Character Name (Eric McCormack) plays a boyfriend who leaves him after he realizes his mistake, only to be discovered shivering in the decimated forest, hooked on cocaine. He destroys his contraption and agrees to sell his patent for a solar collecting device if the railroad stops distributing cocaine to its workers, but ultimately fails to achieve this goal. The film follows Prof Thomas Foolery's journey from ambition to redemption as he confronts the consequences of his actions.
