"The Featherweight" is a 2024 American biographical sports drama film that follows Willie Pep, retired two-time world featherweight boxing champion, as he makes a surprise return to the ring in 1964. As he trains and prepares for his comeback, the camera crew documenting his journey captures his personal struggles with his marriage, family, and finances. Featuring James Madio as Willie Pep, the film premiered at the 80th Venice International Film Festival and received critical acclaim upon its release, with praise from The New Yorker and Indiewire for its raw, documentary-style cinematography.
