Beyond the Poseidon Adventure

Beyond the Poseidon Adventure is a 1979 American disaster film directed by Irwin Allen and starring Michael Caine and Sally Field. The shipwrecked luxury liner S.S. Poseidon drifts bottom-up in the sea after six survivors have been rescued, with Captain Mike Turner (Michael Caine) and Celeste Whitman (Sally Field) among those who board the vessel to claim salvage rights. As they navigate the treacherous ship, they encounter rival salvage parties led by Dr. Stefan Svevo (Telly Savalas), who are also searching for valuable cargo, including gold, diamonds, and plutonium.
