Swing!

Swing! is a 1938 American drama and musical film directed by Oscar Micheaux, in which Cora Green stars as Mandy Jenkins, an African American cook who becomes a musical star after being recruited to replace Eloise Jackson (Hazel Diaz) at a cabaret in New York City. When Cornell Jenkins (Larry Seymour), her estranged husband, reunites with Mandy and agrees never to cheat on her again, she must navigate the challenges of stardom while helping him get back on his feet. Along the way, Mandy's talents shine as she performs memorable musical numbers, including "Bei Mir Bistu Shein."
