My Worst Nightmare

Agathe Novic (Isabelle Huppert) is a successful art dealer living with her husband François, a publisher, and their teenage son Adrien in Paris. When François becomes fascinated with Patrick, a carefree blue-collar womanizer hired to renovate their apartment, Agathe clashes repeatedly due to their differences. As Agathe develops feelings for Tony, the underprivileged friend of Adrien's, she also grows closer to Patrick, who eventually returns and proposes marriage, only to be rejected by Agathe. After a series of misadventures and heartbreaks, Agathe finally accepts Patrick's love and marries him, with their union culminating in his successful opening of a concept aquarium.
