In this sequel to the 2016 action-thriller, Christian Wolff (Ben Affleck) is drawn into a new case when his old acquaintance Raymond King is murdered, leading him to team up with his estranged and deadly brother Brax (Jon Bernthal) and Marybeth Medina (Cynthia Addai-Robinson), a FinCEN deputy director. Together, they uncover a deadly conspiracy involving Anaïs, a mysterious assassin, Burke, a ruthless supervisor, and the kidnapping of a Salvadorean family's young son. Along the way, Wolff must confront his own dark past and form an unlikely bond with his brother, while Medina navigates her complicated relationship with Christian and joins forces with Justine (Allison Robertson), an autistic hacker who helps them track down Anaïs.
