Clown in a Cornfield

"Clown in a Cornfield" is a 2025 American slasher film directed by Eli Craig and written by Craig and Carter Blanchard, based on Adam Cesare's 2020 novel of the same name. The movie follows 17-year-old Quinn Maybrook (Katie Douglas) as she relocates to Kettle Springs with her father Dr. Glenn Maybrook (Aaron Abrams), a town ravaged by the recent burning down of the Baypen Corn Syrup Factory, and finds herself in the middle of a sinister plot by Mayor Arthur Hill (Kevin Durand) to cleanse the town of its burdens through brutal murders. With solid performances, confident direction, and a healthy dose of dark humor, the movie wins over its target audience with gory entertainment and thematic social commentary, even as Quinn's gay kiss with Cole (Carson MacCormac) adds an unexpected layer to the film.
