The Hell of '63 is a 2009 Dutch drama film directed by Steven de Jong, based on the true story of the Elfstedentocht ice skating tour in the Netherlands. In extreme weather conditions, contestants face life-threatening race conditions, with only 69 of nearly 10,000 participants finishing the event. Character Dieuwke (Chantal Janzen) must confront the harsh realities of the race and its participants, including Henk Brenninkmeijer (Cas Jansen), who also features as a main character.
