The Kennel Murder Case

Philo Vance (William Powell), accompanied by his prize-losing Scottish terrier, investigates the locked-room murder of a prominent and much-hated collector whose broken Chinese vase provides an important clue. The victim, Archer Coe, was found dead inside his own bedroom, with bloodstain evidence suggesting he was murdered, not suicided. Vance must deduce the motives behind the attacks to figure out who killed Coe, as several suspects emerge, including Coe's niece Hilda Lake, his secretary Raymond Wrede, and his lover Doris Delafield.
