Der Findling

The 1967 film "Der Findling" tells the story of Piacchi, a Roman merchant who raises Nicolo, a foundling he adopts after his son's death. Characterized by Titus Gerhardt as Nicolo, the young man turns against Piacchi and his wife, leading to a tragic confrontation. In this adaptation of Heinrich von Kleist's novella, Rudolf Fernau portrays Antonio Piachi, a man driven to desperation by betrayal.
