Kate and Alex, a couple living in a New York City apartment, are at odds with the granddaughters of their elderly neighbor Andra, who lives in the adjacent apartment. Characterized by their complex relationships and conflicting personalities, Rebecca and Mary bring different perspectives to their interactions, as Kate grapples with her own guilt and sense of responsibility towards those around her, including homeless individuals and the environment.
