In this 1976 drama, a Kentucky-born girl named Jamie runs away to Nashville with a dream of becoming a country music star, but her determination ultimately leads her down a path of exploitation by corrupt music executives. Played by Monica Gayle, a talented young actress reminiscent of Sissy Spacek, Jamie's story is a poignant cautionary tale about the darker side of ambition and the music industry.
