The Death of Stalin

When dictator Joseph Stalin dies, his parasitic cronies square off in a frantic power struggle to become the next Soviet leader, bumbling, brawling and back-stabbing their way to the top. Nikita Khrushchev (Steve Buscemi), Lavrenti Beria (Simon Russell Beale), Georgy Malenkov (Jeffrey Tambor) and others vie for control, as the question remains - just who is running the government? The film depicts the internal social and political power struggle among the members of the Soviet Politburo following Stalin's death in 1953.
