In response to Morgan Spurlock's documentary Super Size Me, comedian Tom Naughton embarks on a provocative experiment to challenge conventional wisdom about obesity and healthy eating. By losing weight on a fast-food diet while examining the nutritional information of McDonald's menu, Naughton questions the claims made by Spurlock and critiques the lipid hypothesis, a theory that has dominated nutrition advice for decades. Through his own experiments, including an all-fast-food diet and a sugar-free experiment, Naughton seeks to debunk popular myths about fast food, obesity, and the science of nutrition. By doing so, he aims to inspire counter-contempt towards what he believes is misinformation perpetuated by advocates and researchers.
