The Lizard

Reza Mesghaly, a petty thief known in criminal circles for his ability to climb walls, is sentenced to life in prison after being wrongly accused of armed robbery. Within the harsh confines of the jail, Reza forms an unlikely friendship with a cleric who becomes his spiritual guide, teaching him that "there are as many ways to reach God as there are people in the world." Using the cleric's identity and robes, Reza hatches a plan to escape prison, but instead finds himself accepted by a small border village community, where he must navigate a complex web of expectations and misunderstandings.
