The Tower of Silence

In this 1925 German silent drama, Xenia Desni plays Eva, a woman kept in a high tower by her grieving widowed father, who is obsessed with inventing and keeps Eva isolated from the outside world. Her life changes when attractive explorer Arved Holl (Nigel Barrie) crashes his car near the tower and introduces her to high society, forcing Eva to confront her own secrets and family history. As Wilfred Durian's aviator past comes back to haunt him, Eva's life becomes increasingly complicated.
