By Summer's End

"By Summer's End" is set in July 1978, during a tumultuous time for Michal (Michał Weršecki) and her family. With her daughter Maya still learning to read and write, Michal makes a vow that by summer's end, Maya will have mastered these skills. However, the arrival of Chaim, Michal's long-absent father after 20 years, brings unexpected surprises, including secrets about their past that threaten to upend their lives. As the summer unfolds, Michal and her sister Naomi must confront the painful truths they've tried to bury.
