A chilling tale of obsession and terror unfolds in "Freeway Killer", a crime horror thriller based on the true story of William Bonin, a serial killer who preyed on young men in Southern California in 1979 and 1980. Deceptively charming and intelligent, Bonin's dark impulses were matched only by his cunning, allowing him to evade capture for years. The film follows Bonin's descent into madness, from his initial relationships with accomplices Kyle Peterson and Vernon Butts to his eventual downfall at the hands of a determined detective.
