Icarus

Bryan Fogel, an American filmmaker and high-level amateur cyclist, connects with Russian scientist Grigory Rodchenkov, director of the Moscow Anti-Doping Laboratory, to investigate the furtive world of illegal doping in sports. As Fogel continues his training under Rodchenkov's guidance, he and Rodchenkov grow closer despite shocking allegations that place Rodchenkov at the center of Russia's state-sponsored Olympic doping program. The film follows their investigation into allegations of corruption and cheating in international sport, culminating in Rodchenkov testifying to the Russian government's involvement in a decades-long conspiracy to manipulate Olympic results.
