The Lullaby

In "The Lullaby," Chloe van Heerden (Reine Swart), a 19-year-old single mother, struggles to cope with the demands of caring for her newborn child, amidst an overwhelming sense of guilt and paranoia that sends her into a dark depression. As she navigates her postpartum struggles, her relationship with her own mother, Ruby (Thandi Puren), becomes increasingly strained. With her heightened urge to protect her son, Chloe sees danger everywhere, leading to a downward spiral into madness.
