Downsizing

Paul Safranek (Matt Damon), a kindly occupational therapist, undergoes a procedure to be shrunk to four inches tall with his wife Audrey, but she backs out at the last minute. Alone in the luxurious mansion he had selected, Paul befriends Ngoc Lan Tran (Hong Chau), an impoverished Vietnamese activist who was downsized against her will. As Paul learns about the harsh realities of Leisureland's smaller economy, he finds himself drawn to Ngoc Lan and joins her in helping those in need, leading to a journey that challenges his original intention and ultimately forces him to confront the true meaning of saving humanity.
